How the waitlist works

1.You'll get a confirmation email right away.
2.Places open only when current patients leave, so the wait can be long. We'll update this page with an estimated wait once we know how quickly places open.
3.When a place opens, we'll email and phone you. Please reply within two weeks or the place goes to the next person.
4.Every six months we'll ask you to confirm you still want to stay on the list.

Our order of priority

We offer places in the order people joined the list. The one exception: immediate family members of current patients (spouse, partner, children, parents) are offered places first. We don't screen anyone based on their health needs.

Need a doctor sooner?

Joining our list doesn't guarantee a place. We recommend you also register with Health Care Connect, Ontario's free matching service.
